About me

I am EAA member #99884 and Young Eagle Pilot #4 and enjoy volunteering for Young Eagles Chairmen Cliff Robertson, General Chuck Yeager and Harrison Ford. I have won 3 awards at Oshkosh for restorng Best-in-class 1946 Ercoupe and won First Place & Peoples Choice at the National Ercoupe Convention. I have flown classics, warbirds, and high performance airplanes and have flown sail planes, Hangliders, Powered Hangliders and Ultralights. I started with a Rogallo hanglider in 1972. I became knowledgeable in electrical and mechanical processes, tolerances, safety, reliability and quality building and flying RC planes since grade school. I own a 1972 Jobe Rogallo Hanglider, Icarus V, (predacessor to the modern day ultralight), and owned 1946 Ercoupe(s). FOR HISTORIANS - Many famous people started out flying in an Ercoupe including John Travolta, Johnny Carson, Sam Walton and Pappy Boyington (Pappy's first GA airplane).

Learn to fly in original 1946 Ercoupe 415C

I am EAA # 99884 and YE Pilot#04. I was involved in EAA Chapter 54 in Lake Elmo 21D including starting a Private Pilots course and I started EAA Chapter 1452 years later in Ames, IA. I have flown into Oshkosh over 30 times and camped under the wing of my Ercoupe wings or my Dads 1947 Classic Beechcraft Bonanza. And I've stayed in the Oshkosh University Dorms. I have won 3 awards at Oshkosh for Best-in-class aircraft and my Ercoupe won First Place & Peoples Choice at the National Ercoupe Convention in Ames, IA.
