About me

Started flying in 1972 a standard Rogallo Hanglider. Purchased 1946 Ercoupe in 1973. EAA member #99884 and Young Eagle Pilot #04. Volunteered for YE Chairmen Cliff Robertson, General Chuck Yeager and Harrison Ford. Won 3 Best-in-class Oshkosh awards for restoring Ercoupe and won First Place at the National Ercoupe Convention. I have flown antique/classics, warbirds, high performance airplanes, and homebuilt Powered Hanglider. I became knowledgeable in electrical and mechanical processes, tolerances, safety, reliability and quality building and flying RC planes since 1950s. FOR HISTORIANS - Many famous people started out flying in an Ercoupe including John Travolta, Johnny Carson, Sam Walton and Pappy Boyington (Pappy's first GA airplane).

A good carpenter can take the free plans and figure out how to cut out the parts for an airplane toy box. The hard part is getting the angles and miter cuts correct. You are free to copy and build from free plan drawing.
